Generate Markdown File Links (iOS + macOS)

📌 Overview

This Shortcut creates Markdown links for files stored in iCloud that work seamlessly across both macOS and iOS.

You can run it by right-clicking any file in Finder and selecting: Quick Actions → Generate Markdown Links

It then generates links like this:

⚙️ What It Does • Detects the selected file in Finder. • URL-encodes the path. • Adjusts the link to use: • file:// for macOS • shareddocuments:// for iOS (assuming the file is in iCloud). • Outputs the links in Markdown format. • Copies the result to your clipboard.

🛠️ How to Install It

  1. Download the Shortcut
  2. Open it in the Shortcuts app.
  3. Enable it as a Quick Action in Finder: • Go to the shortcut’s settings ("i" icon) • Check: ✅ Use as Quick Action • Scope: ✅ Finder
